Engagements Undertaken

Ian has undertaken numerous projects for a wide range of organisations around the globe. Some of his key assignments are outlined below and references are available on request:

-Castle Leslie in Northern Ireland, UK: Ian worked with Castle Leslie management to develop a 5 star hotel and leisure complex which in addition to providing luxury accommodation hosts numerous functions, including weddings, and incorporates a banqueting restaurant. Ian also established a world class equestrian centre which includes a riding school, offers clinics and riding holidays, and hosts international shows.

-Ian has carried out similar engagements for the following organisations:

• Palm Beach International Equestrian Centre, USA
• Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre in Sydney, Australia
• Arrezo Equestrian Centre in San Zeno, Italy
• The Hong Kong Equestrian Centre
• Gleneagles Equestrian Centre in Scotland, UK

The Atrium in East Grinstead: Ian developed this substantial state of the art 5 story leisure complex in the High Street from the initial concept through to successful operation. The complex comprises a night club, bowling alley, burger bar, public bar, conference suite, 2 screen cinema and fun pub featuring top bands, comedians and other entertainments.

In addition, Ian has carried out some significant developments for his own companies and personal use including:

-Oldencraig Equestrian Centre: Ian acquired Oldencraig, then a somewhat dilapidated yard, in 1998 and has since transformed it into one of the most stunning, prestigious and professionally run premier dressage competition and training establishments in Britain with a worldwide reputation for excellence. Oldencraig is consistently rated one of the top 5 equestrian centres in the world by The Financial Times, and British Dressage have voted Oldencraig the top show centre for the past 13 years running. The centre is exceptionally well designed, offering extensive and well kept facilities set in beautiful landscaped surroundings. Oldencraig’s clientele are from all backgrounds and range from novice to Grand Prix.

-Morley Manor: Ian purchased Morley Manor, a 15th century Grade II listed manor house near Horsham, in 2012. The house, stables and grounds were in a state of considerable disrepair and Ian has over the past few years spared no expense in restoring it to its former glory. It has been a challenging restoration project as great care was required in preserving as much of the original house as possible whilst bringing the accommodation up to 21st century living standards. Ian and Vicki are now delighted to call Morley Manor home.

-The Cock Inn in Headley: Ian acquired this underperforming inn near Leatherhead and completely refurbished it, transforming it into one of the most popular venues in the area. The inn now incorporates a country pub, gourmet restaurant and beer gardens.

-The Game Bird at Horley: Similarly Ian acquired this pub and has transformed it into a successful fun pub which features many top bands as well as comedy shows and other entertainers. The Game Bird is now a regular haunt for a number of celebrities local to it.

-Zenith Discotheque: located in Park Royal near Wembley, this discotheque is one of the ‘go to’ entertainment venues in the area. Once again Ian developed Zenith from initial concept, through design and construction to successful business operation. The state of the art complex, which has capacity for 5000 people, covers 5 floors and incorporates 21 bars, 2 restaurants, and 4 VIP bars.
