His Sire Stravinsky xx is a Polish bred Thoroughbred, who raced in Poland from 1990-92. Out of 28 starts he had a phenomenal 7 wins, 6 seconds, 5 thirds and 6 fourths before starting a very successful career in Dressage where he competed up to Prix St George in Sweden and Intermediare II in Denmark. Prior to arriving in the UK in 2006 Stravinsky had been standing at stud in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Holland where he had been equally successful as a sire, with progeny competing in all 3 disciplines, as well as siring approved stallions and state premium mares. On the mother’s side Oldencraig Winston Prins got Keur stallion Pretendent as Grand sire who is an outstanding sire and grandsire of both Grand Prix Dressage horses and jumpers. He is also the sire of several approved stallions including the celebrated stallion son Vincent, ridden by Annemarie Keijzer at International Dressage.

In 1998, Pretendent was ranked 15th in the world as a dressage producer by the Sport Horse Owners and Breeders Association.
